The Jesus March is Born
After 2 years of gathering youth for evangelism, The first Jesus March was born when God gave us a vision to start marching for Jesus in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020.
“When churches were closed and riots broke out, we gathered believers in the middle of Downtown Sacramento to make a bold statement for Jesus. We weren’t there to protest, we simply came to proclaim the victory that Jesus had already won on the cross”
With 2 megaphones in our hands, we marched the streets of Sacramento singing worship songs and shouting chants in unison about the name of Jesus…
We marked specific points of the city where we would stop in the most crowded areas to preach the Gospel message and make a call for repentance.
People from all walks of life began to join in our march to see what was happening and many received Christ into their hearts that day.
For the believers who came, we saw God ignite their hearts with a fresh zeal to preach the Gospel in coffee shops, schools, and workplaces.
The news was out:
The Church had left the building!!
The March For Other Cities
What started off in Sacramento, eventually spread to other cities when God began to connect us with believers from different backgrounds and denominations in cities across America.
Our next stop: Seattle, Washington
“When we stepped into the city of Seattle for the first time, it seemed as if all of hell broke loose.”
As we stood at the pier, surrounded by a group of believers who had come together for the Jesus March, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We had planned this event for months, and now, as we began to make our way through the streets, we could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit with us.
As we marched through the city, we proclaimed the name of Jesus over a city that had not seen a Christian event of this kind in decades. Some passerby gave us the middle finger, yelling curses at us, but we knew the enemy was trying to intimidate us.
The atmosphere was heavy, but we didn’t let that stop us.
We set up our sound equipment in the middle of the sidewalk and began to proclaim the Gospel over the loudspeaker with hundreds of witnesses staring at us from the streets. But within moments, we felt a shift in the atmosphere as the presence of God filled the streets from the sound of worship. A sudden peace came upon our hearts as we continued to march through the streets.
We eventually stopped at a park near the end of the street where we finished the march with a Gospel message, a prayer for deliverance, a prayer for healing, and a commissioning message for the believers of Seattle who were ready to be sent out. God was doing amazing works in our midst and still, this was only the beginning.
As we looked around at the faces of the believers around us, we knew that this was just the beginning of a movement that would change the city and the world. I invite you to join us on our next Jesus March as we continue to proclaim the name of Jesus and see lives transformed.
