What happened in Santa Monica? (Testimony)

Jesus March Santa Monica 2022

 “Amplify Our Sound, Lord”

In Santa Monica, We partnered with a ministry called California Will Be Saved to march through the Santa Monica Pier in the midst of its busiest hours.

As we prepared for the march in prayer and fasting, one of our team members kept praying for God to “amplify our sound”.

At first, we couldn’t understand why since we had a very large sound system that was able to reach people all throughout the area.

But then something happened…

On the day of the Santa Monica March, our team came to set up our sound equipment for our first location: A little patch of grass near the pier called “The Green”.

The Green was a notorious gathering place for people who were practicing yoga, acrobatics, and other exercises in large groups.

So when we came to set up for our march, the regulars were not happy to see us “invading their space.” Almost immediately, they called out the police, the fire department, and the code enforcement to try to shut us down.

“YOU JESUS FREAKS ARE TRYING TO TAKE OUR GREEN” yelled one of the regulars at one of our team members.

After over an hour of back-and-forth conversation with the police and code enforcement, things were not looking good. The police and the fire department approved our setup, but the code enforcement did not want us to use our generators and large sound equipment.

We ended up working out a deal with them. They allowed us to stay if we took down our large sound equipment and moved over to the sidewalk, just a few feet from The Green.

All we could use was one small speaker to amplify the sound of our vocalist and guitarist. Now it all made sense why God wanted us to pray to amplify the sound.

Despite the opposition, We ended up starting the March off with a roar from the gathering crowd who was ready to praise Jesus. The presence of God filled the atmosphere as the sound of worship was lifted up with one accord.

That day, We saw God restore prodigal sons/daughters, heal the sick, set people free from demonic oppression, and save the lost who heard the sound of worship. Even some of the people who had come to exercise at the Green ended up encountering Jesus.

We also had the opportunity to baptize 3 people at the end of the march on the beach in the ocean right behind us.

To say the least, the march was a success and all the opposition we experienced was worth it in the end.
